Garlands and Bunting

I have been working on some bunting and garlands lately. Here is a summer garland from the Celebration bunting by Kate Rowell from Simply Crochet magazine issue 70. I used Loops & Threads Capri yarn from Michaels which is a soft stretchy t-shirt type yarn in a range of pastel shades.

This is a Fall Garland that I made from Mushroom Bunting by Michelle Estrada from Simply Crochet issue 89. I used different yarn from my stash that were left over from other projects, including Patons Classic Wool, Vanna’s Choice and Loops & Threads Impeccable.

I made two more Bunny Garlands by Nancy Anderson from the Red Heart website. I used yarn from my stash to make a variety of bunnies in different colours. All that is needed now is a pompom to be glued to each bunny bum.

More bunny stuff

Here is a shot of the completed bunny garland. The pompom tail was attached to each bunny and a chain stitch was made, attaching to the top of the ears. Each bunny is a different colour. There are 10 bunnies on the garland.

I had made more of the bunnies than I needed for the garland. Some of them I am going to use as gift tags for Easter gifts. I tried sewing two of them together to make an ornament. It worked pretty well, especially as I didn’t stuff it too much so the stuffing would not show through the puff stitches.

Bunny Garland

I have been working on a quick project to put up as Easter decor. I found this bunny garland pattern on the Red Heart website. The bunny’s are easy to make – – puff stitches worked in the round and then some rows are worked at the top of the round to make the bunny heads. I went away for a couple of days to Victoria this week and this project was great to take with me to work on. So far the garland is made of different coloured bunny’s – lilac, yellow, cream and light green. All that is left now is to add them to the garland and add some white pom pom’s for tails!
